James Richards Jr., PMHNP-BC, APRN, earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is passionate about psychiatry because he values building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients while helping them improve their quality of life. James finds it incredibly rewarding to see patients regain hope, confidence, and a sense of purpose as they work toward their goals. 

James believes the best outcomes come from a collaborative, patient-centered approach where individuals feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and creating personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs and goals.
